Why this model is better than COFDM-912T as an FPV video transmitter?
The difference between COFDM-912T and FPV1887 wireless video transmission is
- The FPV1887 video transmission video delay latency is small, only 120 milliseconds. COFDM-912T delay is more than 400ms.
- With different modulation bandwidths, with the exact video resolution, the FPV1887 video transmission only requires 2MHz bandwidth, while COFDM-912T requires more than 6MHz.
- FPV1887 has a longer-range transmission distance, stronger diffraction performance, and anti-interference performance. Because it uses a narrower bandwidth, it has higher receiving sensitivity and takes up fewer resources.
- Smaller size and weight: Compared with COFDM-912T video transmission, the FPV-1887 video transmission adopts a more advanced encoding and modulation scheme, with lower overall power consumption, smaller size, and a weight of only 80g.
- The unique 45-degree RF antenna design is more suitable for the FPV and is more suitable for the high-speed flight angle of the FPV.

FAQ
Question: Why does powering on the transmitter cause its shell to become very hot?
Answer: First, we tested this circuit board at temperatures of minus 40 degrees and 85 degrees. The hand feels very hot and will not affect the normal use of the transmitter.
Second: There are two reasons why the case temperature is a bit high:
- To be waterproof, our casing does not have heat dissipation holes and fan holes.
- To support 50 kilometers, we have a built-in three-watt amplifier. A power amplifier requires a cooling fan. The chip and board of the power amplifier are close to the metal casing to transfer heat.
Question: The shell of this transmitter looks very heavy, and not suitable for installation on a drone that needs to be lightweight, right?
- For this product, we mainly provide transmitter boards and receiver boards or modules. Users can customize the case or install it on their own device or aircraft.
- This optional case is convenient for customers who need it to take samples for testing. There is a case to protect the circuit board from damage during transportation and testing.
- We also use lightweight and cheap aluminum, which is processed by a CNC milling machine. The shell’s protrusion is not just for looks; it improves the transmitter’s performance by dissipating heat more effectively.
- Please mount the transmitter on the metal of the aircraft. With the addition of heat dissipation glue, it can effectively dissipate heat with the help of the metal shell.
- You can also use the four-roto of the UAV to cool its shell, which is equivalent to an external fan.
- If the transmitter board temperature exceeds 100 degrees, it will automatically protect itself and the video will be frozen.

Answer:
- This FPV video transmitter is not an ordinary FM-modulated analog video transmission.
- Ours is COFDM digital video transmission, not the FM-modulated analog video transmission you understand. Video Quality is SD720P, clearer, stable. It is more resistant to interference and supports video encryption.
- The FM-modulated video transmission frequencies are 1.2G, 1.3G, 2.4G, and 5.8 G. The biggest advantage of video transmission is that it is cheap. The transmission distance is limited to short distances with an eye-see line of sight.
- Our FPV video transmitter can transmit HD video at ultra-low altitudes and non-line-of-sight conditions. A specialized receiver is required to decode it.
Question: Can we assemble the repeater by ourselves using two sets of receivers and transmitters?
Answer: Sure, you can do like that.
If you need a relay and also control the plane, we recommend that you choose TX900, which just uses three units that can be formed a complete networking, transmitter, repeater, and receiver.
If you just need a one-way transmission system to download the video from the UAV to the repeater or ground. We recommend using our FPV repeater devices. Please check the below picture. We have put the receiver and transmitter in one box.

There are two frequencies, for example, 800Mhz from the transmitter to the repeater, and 300Mhz from the repeater to the receiver
To avoid interference, you also add two filters, and PA in the repeater module to increase the signal strength.
The above picture is from our engineer, he has a real sample now. The two filters and repeater are not in one box, if you confirm the order, we will do another casing or do casing by yourself according to your uav.

Answer: There are two diversity antennae on the receiver. One is ok, two is better, to get more signal from the transmitter, and increase the reception performance.
Question: What is the bandwidth of the channel?
Answer: The default is 6Mb. You also can change it from 2MB, 4MB, 6MB, or 8MB if you want and buy the extra parameter tool board for the transmitter. It is better that you test at our default setting.
Question: Can I combine a directional antenna with a circular?
Question: Is it possible to set the input and output video type manually (PAL/NTSC)?
Answer: PAL / NTSC both support, auto-detect, and switch according to your input camera.
Question: We need a configured board for the transmitter. How much it costs?
Answer: To reduce the transmitter’s gross weight, the configure tool of the transmitter is external. If you don’t have it, the system is also working well at our default setting. If you have it, you can change the parameters of the transmitter, such as frequency, bandwidth, AES password, etc.
Question: Does the receiver have analog and HDMI output?
Answer: Yes, the receiver has both analog (CVBS, composite video output) and HDMI video output.
In order to lower the video latency, the default setting, HDMI is only a video signal, no audio signal.
Question: Extra wave filters for drones – we need this (how much does it cost?)
Answer: The FPV transmitter already has a low pass filter inside for the drone. Please tell us what requirements do you need.
Frequency Filters have two types, one is a low-pass filter, such as the working frequency is 595Mhz, then over 610Mhz can not be passed. Another filter type is bandwidth pass filter, such 580~610Mhz can be passed, others can not be passed.
Question: We need a direct RF antenna input in the FPV video transmitter metal case. Can you make it?

The default frequency is 595 MHz. We have stock TX and RX antenna for 595Mhz. For other frequencies, we need almost ten days to customize the antenna and PA power amplifier.

What type of antenna do you need? Whip transmitting antenna? 60cm length fiberglass antenna with U-type bracket? or with a magnetic base of the in-car antenna?
