Ultra-Low Latency, FPV-Ready Video Transmission & Remote Streaming Solution
Table of Contents
Overview
The FPV CVBS AV Encoder Decoder video stream over IP Ethernet board combination represents a powerful, professional-grade solution for real-time video transmission, bridging traditional analog video sources and modern digital IP networks. Unlike conventional encoders and decoders, this system has been engineered with FPV (First Person View) applications, analog video-over-IP streaming, and remote tele-operation in mind.

It consists of two highly optimized boards:
- AV/CVBS/AHD Mini Encoder to IP Ethernet Board – a compact, feature-rich encoder that supports PAL/NTSC CVBS and AHD signals, automatically adapting to multiple analog standards. It encodes up to 1080P60fps video into H.264/H.265 High Profile streams while maintaining compatibility with IP-based playback systems. Its support for transparent UART/RS232 command transmission makes it especially well-suited for remote gimbal, PTZ, or robotic control alongside live video.
- IP Ethernet to AV / HDMI Decoder Board – supporting up to 4K resolution at 30fps with AV and HDMI output. The decoder can display one ultra-high-definition stream or handle multiple 1080P feeds in a quad-view configuration. With latency as low as 70ms, it provides smooth, real-time monitoring ideal for UAV pilots, FPV operators, or remote vehicle control.
Together, these boards deliver end-to-end, bi-directional video, audio, and control signal transmission across wired or wireless IP networks. The combination is highly versatile, capable of serving professional surveillance, UAV/FPV video piloting, robotics tele-operation, and industrial inspection.

FAQ
Q: Does the encoder and decoder support serial (UART) communication?
A: Yes. Bidirectional serial communication is supported when one encoder and one decoder are connected via Ethernet or a wireless radio link.
-
The encoder acts as the serial server, and the decoder acts as the client.
-
For bidirectional communication, the decoder must initiate the connection; once established, subsequent communication can be fully bidirectional.
-
Special firmware/software is required, so please inform us at the time of ordering if this function is needed.
Important Notes:
-
Bidirectional communication only works in a one-to-one configuration (one encoder + one decoder).
-
If multiple encoders and decoders are on the same network, bidirectional communication is not supported; only unidirectional communication is possible.
-
Multiple decoders sending data to a single encoder simultaneously will cause data conflicts, so a one-to-one setup is required for reliable bidirectional operation.
