Why do we want to do this 110km long-range test this time?

Some clients ask me the longest distance of the wireless video transmitter and receiver, now we recommended this 10W Power Amplifier model, which supports up to 150km. In order to show the real effect of the 10W Power Amplifier wireless video data transmitter and receiver for you, we make this video.

10W PA transmitter supports 150km at the line of sight environment.

We find a place from Huizhou Luofu mountain top to the Zhuhai Pearl River Side, the distance is 110km. These are the only places in our nearby city to support the longest distance, which covers three cities, Huizhou, Dongguang, and Zhuhai.

We also used the computer to send a ping -t command to test the data transmission and the earphone to voice communication with the receiver to ensure the audio transmission was successful.

Our car is parked beside the Pearl River on the receiver side; from here, it should be “seeing” the Luofu Mountain top without any obstacles.

We installed two receiver antennas on the roof of the car to ensure excellent reception. The antenna cable is connected to the receiver in the car, and we also use a computer to connect the receiver via a network cable.

On the computer screen, we open one window for the RTSP player to play the video received from the transmitter, and another for the ping -t data transmission status. We also open another browser window, which displays the web UI manage to debug the page of the receiver; from here, we can see the reception signal strength, current transmission distance, parameters, and so on.

To show you more details about this 110km real long-range wireless video data audio transmitter and receiver test, I place one more video from the mountaintop. If you need any more videos, please contact us. Here the attitude is 1100 meters, like a drone in the air. Small-size antenna tested, and our lightweight transmitter reduces the gross weight of your drone.

7. How do you know the transmission distance is 110km?

110km long-range wireless video transmitter and receiver

We used google Maps to measure the distance from the transmitter place to the receiver place. At the receiver screen, there is debug page, one important parameter is the current transmission distance, please check the above picture, The transmission distance is 111280 meters.

8. What is the transmission latency/delay of the long-range wireless video transmitter and receiver?

transmission latency delay 28ms-76ms for 110km wireless video transmitter and receiver

From the receiver’s screen snap, we can see the current transmission latency /delay is 28-76ms (millisecond).

We ever used the Hikvision IPC camera and Windows software Easyplayer on the computer as the receiver, I have tested the h264 configuration, and it takes about 250~300ms.

The delay also has something different if using a different player on the pc. If you don’t use Easyplayer but use the VLC media player, the delay is estimated that it will take 400ms.

9. Does your long-range video transmitter and receiver have Sbus or TTL data control port?

1. Our UAV Wireless Video Data Control link has three RS232 ports. We also can modify it to the TTL.

4800: 4800 byte/s
9600: 9600 byte/s
19200: 19200 byte/s
28800: 28800 byte/s
38400: 38400 byte/s
57600: 57600 byte/s
115200: 115200 byte/s
2. For D2 and D3, the baud rate can be set as below:
1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 56700, 115200, 230400 and 460800.

11. Your test video is impressionable. I want to transfer the distance at 300 km via relay uav. Do you have any suggestions?

Yes, TX900-10W supports 150km, to plus one unit of TX900 in the middle as the relay, the transmission distance will be 150+150=300km. The relay unit will be overloaded as it needs to get the signal and send out the signal at the same.

Our engineer suggests it is better to buy four units to support 300km. One unit is the transmitter in the air (mission drone), two units are the relay in the middle (relay drone), and another unit is on the ground as the receiver (to the computer).
Why does it need two units in the relay? From the transmitter and 1st relay use 800Mhz, From the 2nd relay use 1.4G, and use one short net cable to connect the 1st and 2nd relay. This will ensure the two relay units have enough bps to support high speed and avoid overload.

Another suggestion, please directional antenna at the ground for the receiver, As the directional antenna always has 16dBi, to ensure the signal strength. Automatica Antenna Tracker is recommended.

FAQs about Wireless Video Transmitter and Receiver

Our wireless video transmitters have these types of video input interfaces: HDMI 1080P and 4K HDMI, CVBS composite, SDI, AHD, IP Ethernet, BNC, or tell us what type do you need, our engineer will modify to meet your demand.

Our transmission distance can be adjusted by adding power amplifiers. At present, the main ones are 15km, 30km, 50km, 80km, 100km , and 150km, which depend on the needs of customers.

Of course, the transmission distances listed above are all within LOS the line-of-sight range. If there are obstacles between the transmitter and the receiver, NLOS (the non-line-of-sight), the transmission distance is greatly reduced, only 1km or 2km, depending on the number of intermediate obstacles and the local wireless environment.

One-way means, We can only transmit and download video or data from the wireless video transmitter to the receiver in one direction, and we cannot upload video or data from the receiver to the transmitter. This type is also called simplex.

Two-way means that, not only we can download video or data from our wireless transmitter to the receiver, but also we can upload the video or data from the receiver to the transmitter. This is very suitable for operating drones. You can not only see the real-time video transmitted from the drone, but also upload the command to control the drone or the command to control the PTZ camera to adjust the angle to the transmitter. This can operate simultaneously. This type also named half-dulpex or full-duplex.

Please check the details at the below link. https://ivcan.com/request-a-quote-of-wireless-video-transmission/#simplex

Most Wireless video transmitters now support AES128 or AES256 bit encryption and decryption, depending on which model you choose. Please contact us to verify.

The frequencies of both the wireless video transmitter and the wireless video receiver can be modified. Users need to purchase additional parameter configuration boards.

However, considering that the corresponding power amplifier and antenna are already fixed within a certain range when the goods are sent out. If the user adjusts the frequency of the transmitter, the corresponding power amplifier, transmitter antenna and receiver antenna should also be modified to the same frequency, and these users need to be prepared. If not, it will cause the frequency of the wireless video transmitter to be different from the frequency of the antenna, making reception difficult. So please be sure to inform the correct frequency you need before placing an order.

If it is for security or confidentiality, you can use the encryption and decryption functions of the transmitter and receiver, which can ensure that your video transmission is private. .
