FHSS: Frequency Hopping

When the current frequency is interfered with, frequency hopping will occur in the same frequency range. Our device will automatically find the frequency with the strongest signal and automatically switch to it.

If 1.4GHz is interfered, our drone wireless video data transceiver will hop frequency. Because it is limited by the frequency range of the power amplifier, it will search for the frequency with the strongest signal between 1420 and 1530 and automatically switch to it.

By the same token, if the frequency is interfered at 600 MHz, its frequency hopping range will be between 566 and 678.

Our Vcan1806 can be customized to work in two frequency bands at the same
time, 566~678MHz and 1420~1530MHz, the central working frequency can hop inside each
band.

In the drone’s video transmission, 2T2R refers to the use of a Multiple – Input Multiple – Output (MIMO) technology with 2 transmit antennas and 2 receive antennas. This technology offers significant advantages in enhancing transmission performance and anti – interference capabilities:

  • Technical Advantages
    • Higher Transmission Rate: By simultaneously sending different data streams through 2 transmit antennas and receiving and processing these signals with 2 receive antennas, the data transmission rate can theoretically be doubled within the same time and frequency resources. This allows high – definition video and image data captured by the drone to be transmitted to the ground control station more quickly, reducing transmission latency.
    • Enhanced Signal Quality: Through multi – antenna reception, the spatial diversity characteristics of signals can be utilized. Multiple received signals are combined and processed to reduce the impact of signal fading and interference, improving the stability and reliability of the signal. Even in complex electromagnetic environments or when there are obstructions, it can better ensure the quality of the video transmission signal, minimizing issues such as screen freezing, blurring, or interruption.
    • Improved Anti – interference Ability: 2T2R technology can distinguish signals from different directions to a certain extent through techniques like spatial division multiplexing, and suppress and eliminate interference signals. At the same time, the coordinated operation of multiple antennas can also increase the redundancy of the signal. When one antenna is affected by interference, the other antennas can still receive signals normally, thereby enhancing the anti – interference performance of the entire video transmission system.
  • Application Scenarios
    • Aerial Photography and Surveying: During aerial photography and surveying, high – resolution images and video data need to be transmitted. 2T2R technology can ensure the fast and stable transmission of data, enabling surveyors to obtain clear aerial images in real – time at the ground control station, improving the efficiency and accuracy of surveying.
    • Power Line Inspection: When drones are used for power line inspection, they need to transmit detailed images of towers, lines, and other equipment clearly to the ground. 2T2R technology can enhance the stability and anti – interference ability of the signal, ensuring that inspection data can be accurately transmitted back to the control center in complex field and electromagnetic environments. This helps inspection personnel to promptly detect equipment failures and potential safety hazards.
    • Security Monitoring: In the field of security monitoring, drones need to transmit real – time monitoring images in various complex environments. 2T2R technology can effectively improve the quality and reliability of video transmission, enabling monitoring personnel to promptly and accurately understand the situation in the monitored area, providing strong support for security prevention and emergency response.
