Customer’s Original Request
1 – We would need a one way with the camera transferring from shore to the dredge
2 – Camera would be on the shore at the end of the discharge pipe and the receiver and monitor would be on the dredge so can see what is happening on shore.
3 – We have attached a pdf with some pictures which show the ‘set up’. There is a mast located on shore as well. Please be aware that there is no internet connection available on the dredge.

Understanding the Customer’s Need
The client’s project involves real-time video monitoring between a dredge vessel and the shoreline, where the camera is placed onshore and the receiver and display are mounted on the dredge. The key challenges are:
- Long transmission distance over water
- No internet connection available (so cellular or IP-based systems are not possible)
- Stable one-way HD video link from shore to vessel
- Outdoor, harsh marine environment (requiring waterproof, anti-salt, and shockproof housing)
This setup requires a robust, point-to-point digital wireless transmission system that can deliver clear, delay-free HDMI video even under non-line-of-sight (NLOS) or sea surface reflection conditions.

Recommended Solution
30Km Long Distance COFDM HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter Receiver (908T)
This system is ideal for shore-to-ship or dredge video monitoring. Using COFDM modulation and H.264 video compression, it ensures stable transmission over long distances with strong anti-interference capability, even without internet.
Key Features
- Transmission Distance: Up to 30km (LOS) with 2W power amplifier; options up to 100km available
- Video Format: Full HD 1080P HDMI (SDI optional)
- Low Latency: 200–250ms (optional 30–50ms ultra-low latency model)
- Frequency Range: 170–860MHz (customizable)
- Waterproof & Shockproof Aluminum Case – optional marine-grade enclosure
- NLOS Support – works even when the line of sight is partially blocked
- AES 128-bit Encryption for secure video transmission
- All-in-One Integration: Compact transmitter, receiver, and antenna
- Stable Over Water Transmission – ideal for ship, dredge, and marine applications
Typical Applications
- Dredging & Marine Construction: Real-time video from shore to vessel
- Harbor and Coastal Surveillance
- Offshore Platforms & Floating Equipment Monitoring
- Drone, UAV, USV, and UGV Transmission Systems
- Broadcast & Outdoor Filming
- Emergency and Law Enforcement Field Units
Example Setup for Dredge Application
- Transmitter (on shore): Connected to the camera via HDMI, mounted on a mast for better height and line of sight.
- Receiver (on dredge): Connected to a monitor in the control cabin, receiving the video feed directly without internet.
- Antenna: Omnidirectional or Yagi directional antennas depending on installation site.
FAQ
Q1: Can this system work without the internet?
A: Yes. It’s a pure point-to-point COFDM digital RF link, no network needed.
Q2: How far can it transmit over water?
A: With 2W output power and clear line-of-sight, it can reach up to 30km.
Q3: What if there’s slight obstruction or waves?
A: COFDM modulation provides strong NLOS capability, suitable for sea or shore vibration.
Q4: Can the housing be waterproof and anti-salt?
A: Yes, optional marine-grade waterproof housing is available for both TX and RX.
Q5: What power supply is needed?
A: 12V DC power supply, 2A–6A depending on output power.
Precautions for Order Customization
When placing an order, please specify:
- Desired working frequency (170–860MHz).
- Antenna type and length (0.8m / 1.8m).
- Environment (marine, vehicle, drone, or fixed).
- Power level (0.5W–20W optional).
