Video & Encoding Performance
This transmitter supports H.264 encoding, ensuring efficient bandwidth usage while maintaining broadcast-quality image performance. The supported 1080i50 format makes it suitable for European broadcast standards and professional camera systems.
With SDI input, the module can be directly connected to:
-
Broadcast cameras
-
Camera control units (CCU)
-
Video switchers
-
Professional SDI output devices
COFDM modulation ensures strong resistance to multipath interference, making the system reliable in urban environments, stadiums, and mobile applications.
Frequency Band & Receiver Compatibility
-
Transmitter operating frequency: 2.2GHz
-
Typical receiver frequency range: 170–860 MHz
For systems where the receiver does not directly support 2.2GHz, a frequency down-converter can be added to convert the signal from 2.2GHz to around 600MHz. This allows seamless compatibility with existing Vislink or Domo receivers, protecting previous investments and reducing system upgrade costs.
RF Output Power & Power Amplifier Options
The transmitter module itself is designed to work with external RF power amplifiers (PA), allowing flexible output power selection depending on the application.
Available PA options:
-
1W
-
2.5W
-
5W
-
10W
-
20W
Important notes:
-
10W and 20W PA versions can be adjusted down to 5W output
-
1W and 2.5W PA versions cannot be increased to 5W
-
Users may integrate their own external PA if required
This flexibility allows users to balance transmission distance, power consumption, and regulatory compliance.

FAQ
Q: SDI has an input signal, but there’s no signal input or output from the RF port? Why is this indicator light not working?

A: If the SDI input is present but there is no RF input/output and the indicator LED is not lit, the most likely cause is a faulty or disconnected FPC ribbon cable between the boards.
Please check the following points:
1. FPC Ribbon Cable Issue (Most Likely Cause)
-
The encoder board and the transmitter (baseband) board are connected via an FPC ribbon cable.
-
If this cable is severely bent, damaged, or broken, communication between the two boards will fail.
-
As a result:
-
No data is transmitted
-
The RF port has no input/output
-
The indicator LED does not light up
-
Action:
-
Power off the unit.
-
Carefully remove and replace the FPC ribbon cable.
-
Ensure the cable is not folded sharply during installation.
⚠️ Important:
The FPC connector is a drawer-type (pull-out) connector, not a flip-lock type. Please pull it straight out gently to avoid damage.
2. Indicator LED Explanation
-
The circled LED is the Ethernet/data communication indicator between the encoder board and the transmitter board.
-
If this LED is off, it indicates that:
-
There is no network/data connection between the two boards
-
No data is being transmitted internally
-
This strongly suggests an issue with the FPC cable connection.
3. Assembly or Mechanical Interference (Secondary Check)
-
If replacing the FPC cable does not resolve the issue:
-
Remove the board assembly
-
Check whether any components were pressed, misaligned, or affected during final assembly
-
In most cases, this issue is caused by a damaged or improperly connected FPC ribbon cable between the encoder board and the transmitter/baseband board. Replacing the FPC cable resolves the problem in the majority of cases.
