Detection range depends on the transmission power — the higher the power, the longer the detection range. For example, with a 1W transmitter, the detection range is approximately 450 meters in open environments and around 150 meters in urban environments.

The actual detection distance depends on the detection environment, transmitting antenna, weather factors, etc. This product itself does not transmit any signal. The detection distance is closely related to the transmission power. The greater the transmission power, the farther the distance that can be scanned.

The antenna for this product is a foldable rubber stick antenna (not the pagoda antenna in the promotional picture). It is a 2.4G and 5.8G dual-band antenna. It does not distinguish between installation positions.

The minimum scanning power of the 5.8G frequency band of this product is set to about 100mW. Those below 100mW will not be displayed. The power of ordinary 5.8G routers at home is mostly below 100mW.
Some countries and regions prohibit the use of 5.8G high-band frequency bands (such as Europe). Although high-band frequency bands are not prohibited in China, for the convenience of export, most domestic routers will use the 5.8G low-band frequency band by default, and will only jump to the high-band frequency band when the local frequency band is full.
