According to Yonhap News Agency, North Korea is independently developing a new type of electronic warfare weapon- Global Positioning System (Gps) jammer. This jamming device has a range of more than 100 Kilómetros.

According to theNorth Korea Electronic Warfare Attack and Jamming Weaponssubmitted to the National Defense Committee of the National Assembly on the 6th by the South Korean Ministry of National Defense, North Korea currently has more than 20 types of communication and radar jamming equipment purchased from the former Soviet Union.

It is reported that North Korea has deployed GPS jamming equipment purchased from Russia at two or three locations near the Military Demarcation Line (MDL), with an operating range of 50 kilometers to 100 Kilómetros.
