The COFDM receiver module is a compact digital diversity receiver with integrated H.264 decoding, suitable for use in fluid and high-mobility applications. The receiver module accepts signals from two antennas to significantly enhance the demodulated performance and increase the operating range. The receiver module can find and lock automatically to the incoming transmission quickly according to the pre-set frequency and bandwidth. This receiver module features a range of comprehensive signal outputs including HD at 720p and 1080P, down-converted HD CVBS monitor video, and two analog audios supported.

IO Signals

The receiver module has a 2*5PIN PH2.0mm connector which provides “keys + LEDs” signals. It is designed for customers who want to expand LEDs and keys to their cases.
PWR led signal: this two-pin can connect to an led for the power indicator, and constant light when the device is normally powered.
The link led signal: this two-pin can connect to an led for a wireless link indicator, which blinks when the video stream is received.
REC led signal: this two-pin can connect to an led for a record indicator, and constant light when video recording.
REC key signal: this two-pin can connect to a button for the switch of video recording, and a short press to change its status. The receiver will automatically check the storage device(micro SD card or USB disk) after powering on and start to record video when the storage device is inserted. Just press it to stop or record again.
OSD key: this two-pin can connect to a button for turning on/off the status of the OSD displaying, long press it to switch(more than 1s). The status will be kept after a reboot. When the OSD status is on without any OSD data input from the data uart, the device will display information on the video screen as:

Paired with COFDM transmitter:
The default normal features of the two-antenna Wireless receiver module can be paired with all of Our H.264 transmitter modules. The HD video latency from its inputting of the transmitter to the HDMI screen displaying of the receiver is about 200~250ms.
Our two-antenna COFDM Wireless Receiver module can also be paired with our COFDM transmitter module for the lowest video latency application when manufactured with specified firmware. The specified firmware enables proprietary H.264 video compression/decompression only using p-frames for the lowest latency. The video latency from its inputting of the transmitter to the HDMI screen displaying of the receiver is about 50ms to 130ms.

- 问题。: I already have Vcan1776, which has a Vcan1746 encoder board at the transmitter module, should I get one more encoder board?
- 答: Although the encoder board of Vcan1776 can be reused. It needs to disassemble the Vcan1776 RF module, then connect the network port adapter cable, and change the different firmware. It is not recommended to do this. It is recommended that you purchase another separate encoder board.
- The voltage range of TX RX is 7~24V.
- At 12V power supply, use an adapter with a maximum of 1A or more.
- Prepare a formattedFAT32format Micro SD card
- Unzip the upgrade file from our verify and send to you, Here is "1816_update_image_xx_yy.zip" 文件, and copy it to the root directory of the Micro SD card, pay attention to keep the directory structure unchanged (there is a flash folder in the root directory of the Micro SD card, and there is an app folder in it).
- Insert the Micro SD card into the Vcan1816 module, power on and wait for the red light on the board to flash, indicating that the upgrade is successful.

Under normal circumstances, the update will be completed within 30s after power-on (the red light flashes). If the red light does not flash for a long time after power-on, please check the connection of Micro SD and try power-on again.
