This document provides a structured summary of the customer’s technical requirements and a recommended response outlining suitable solutions for long-range IP video transmission using COFDM or MANET mesh technology.
1. Customer Requirement Summary
Basic Parameters Provided by Customer:
- Distancia de transmisión: 15 km
- Ambiente: Exterior, Line of Sight (LOS)
- Communication Direction: bidireccional, video + control
- Camera Interface: Ethernet (IP video, RJ45)
- Power Amplifier: Arriba a 20 W
- Ubicación de implementación: Both transmitter and receiver on the ground
- Modo de transmisión: IP-based mesh (MANETA)
- Frecuencia de trabajo: 170–860 MHz COFDM
- Consent to Email: Sí
Special Project Requirements:
- Multiple static 1080p IP cameras
- Video transmission to multiple moving vehicles
- Coverage area approximately 25 km × 15 km
- Preferred technologies:
- COFDM Broadcast System, o
- IP MANET / Mesh Radio System
- Entrada de energía: 12–24 V DC
- Recommended antenna type: Omni or sector, depending on deployment
2. Recommended Technical Solutions
Based on the customer’s scenario and application, two main wireless solutions are appropriate.
Option A — MANET / Mesh Radio System (Recommended for mobility)
- Self-forming and self-healing mesh
- Ideal for multi-node, mobile environments
- Each vehicle acts as a relay node
- Effective over large outdoor areas
- Strong support for multiple 1080p IP streams
- Operates within 170–860 MHz for long-range coverage
- Supports high-power PA (10–20W)
- Baja latencia: 25–35 ms
Option B — COFDM Broadcast System (Recommended for one-way broadcast)
- Best for one transmitter → multiple receivers
- Stable long-distance LOS transmission
- Supports Ethernet IP video
- compatible con 20 W PA for extended range
- Lower cost compared to MANET
- Suitable when only downlink video is required
- Not ideal if vehicles must also send data back
3. Additional Information Needed from Customer
To create an accurate system design and quotation, the following technical details are required:
- Do vehicles also need to transmit video/data back, or only receive?
- Total number of nodes: fixed cameras, vehículos, command center.
- Required encryption (AES-128 or AES-256).
- Expected video bitrate per camera.
- Mounting height of fixed camera antennas and vehicle antennas.
- Preferred antenna type: omni or sector.
4. Response Template to Customer
Below is the polished reply recommended for communication:
“Thank you for sharing the detailed requirements. Based on your project needs—multiple static IP cameras transmitting over a 25 × 15 km outdoor LOS area to multiple moving vehicles—we propose either a MANET mesh solution for fully bi-directional mobile networks, or a COFDM broadcast solution for long-range one-way video. To finalize the system design, could you please confirm the number of nodes, return link requirements, encryption level, expected bitrate, and antenna installation height? We will then prepare a full network design, equipment list, precios, and lead time.”
