Ang SMS4470 is the newest addition to Siano’s family of next-generation multi-standard MDTV IC receivers, the SMS44XX, targeting the challenging requirements of a global single IC covering a variety of broadcast MDTV technologies. Ang SMS4470 supports DVB-T2 as well as DVB-T, ISDB-T (1/3/13 and Tmm), and digital/analog radio (DRM+/DAB/DAB+/FM), including an identical electrical and mechanical footprint to the SMS4570 (ATSC and ATSC-MH combo). A mature and extremely high-performance solution, the SMS4470 is based on Siano’s vast, field-proven experience with a range of MDTV standards, sa partikular na, ISDB-T, DVB-T, at DVB-T2.

Siano’s SMS4470 provides best-in-class sensitivity, mobility, and immunity to long echo interference. Further, it supports full antenna diversity (MRC) with up to 4 receivers used concurrently, addressing the extreme requirements of automotive applications. Input to the SMS4470 is the broadcasted RF signal received by one or more antenna(e), and output is a demodulated, selected channel stream. This data is fed into an application processor capable of video and audio decompression and rendering.

Ang SMS4470 is complemented by Siano’s Host-API software package that includes drivers and libraries for popular host processors and operating systems. This Host-API is based on Siano’s expertise in integrating MDTV into various handheld and portable devices, including mobile phones, personal media players, portable navigation devices, Mga PC, and automotive applications.
