What is the FC8300 chip?

FC8300 is a frequency modulation chip commonly used by mainland ISDB-T manufacturers. They mainly used it for exporting vehicle-mounted ISDB-T products to Japan and South America.

The product has gained popularity among customers due to its reliability and performance. We have used the FC8300 for many years. There have been very few new issues and sales are very stable. kuitenkin, due to the limited capacity of the automotive ISDB-T market, the original factory has little motivation to continue production, and the parent company has changed its business, so it has decided to stop production.

The FC8300 is a highly integrated RF and demodulator chip for receiving digital broadcasts such as Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting Terrestrial (ISDB-T) 1-Seg, 3-Seg, ISDB-Tmm, ISDB-T Full-Seg, and ISDB-TSB.

FC8300 is a single-die implementation FCI proprietary RF and demodulator with outstanding in-door and mobility performances. It provides good sensitivity and immunity to interference with low power consumption mostly suitable for mobile phones and many other portable devices.

Combination Extends Renesas’ Global Leadership in Delivering Embedded Solutions for the Fast-Growing IoT, Industrial, and Automotive Markets

Renesas will fund the cash consideration payable to Dialog shareholders of approximately EUR 4.8 miljardi (suunnilleen 624.0 billion yen at an exchange rate of 130 yen to the Euro) through a combination of debt, cash on hand and the proceeds of an equity offering of approximately 222.6 billion yen.

The closing of the acquisition of Dialog, following the landmark acquisitions of Intersil and IDT, reinforces Renesas as a premier embedded solution provider. Renesas will expand its market presence with an even broader range of product portfolios by combining Dialog’s low-power mixed-signal products, low-power Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® connectivity expertise, flash memory, battery and power management as well as its long-standing experience and in-depth knowledge in providing configurable mixed-signal (CMIC) solutions and more.

The acquisition will also enable Renesas to further extend its go-to-market initiatives and provide seamless and borderless services to customers across the globe. Renesas anticipates incremental revenue growth of approximately USD 200 miljoonaa (non-GAAP operating income, suunnilleen 21.0 billion yen) from cross-selling and offering winning combinations.
